Immanence – Pantheism (“the App”) is developed by Christian Evertz.
Short version
Immanence has no user accounts, no login, and no servers run by the developer. Everything you create in the App — journal entries, reflections, moments of awe — is stored locally on your device only. There is no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. Two features talk to external services when you use them: the AI mentor (Anthropic) and the Astronomy Picture of the Day (NASA).
What stays on the device
Your journal entries, reflections, logged moments of awe, and settings are stored locally on your device. The developer has no access to them and they are not uploaded to any developer-run server.
Data we collect
None. The App has no account system, collects no personal data, no usage analytics, and no advertising identifiers, and contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Third-party services
- Anthropic (AI mentor): When you talk to the AI mentor, the messages you write in that conversation are sent to Anthropic’s API to generate a response. No account or identifier of yours is attached. Please do not include personal information in mentor conversations that you would not want to share with an external service. Anthropic’s own privacy policy applies to this processing.
- NASA (Astronomy Picture of the Day): The App fetches the daily image from NASA’s public API. As with any internet request, standard technical data (such as your IP address) is visible to the service.
The App does not sell or share your data with anyone.
Deleting your data
All data lives on your device. You can remove it at any time by deleting it in the App or by uninstalling the App. Nothing is stored elsewhere.
Earlier versions of Immanence offered optional accounts on a hosted database. That system has been shut down and removed from the App. If you have questions about data from an earlier version, contact the address below.
